SECURITY

  • The Lake Wildwood Association (LWA) maintains a fully staffed Security force 24 hours a day at both entry Gates, as well as motor patrol.
  • The Lake is patrolled during summer months (June-Sept).
  • The Nevada County Sherriff’s Department also serves Lake Wildwood.


FIRE PROTECTION

  • Lake Wildwood is within the Penn Valley Fire Protection District, with volunteers, paid and part-time personnel providing 24-hour service from two stations. Minimum of two fire personnel and one paramedic on duty at each station.
  • The Lake Wildwood station staffs two engines and an ambulance.
  • In addition, the area is within the jurisdiction of the California Department of Forestry, which staffs a two-engine station in Smartsville during fire season.

HOSPITAL and MEDICAL SERVICES

  • Advanced Life Support transporting ambulance services are provided by the Penn Valley Fire Department.
  • Air ambulances are stationed in Auburn, Yuba County, Chico & Truckee.

  • The Nevada County Landfill accepts household waste, yard waste, construction materials, recycling items, etc., from residential users. These fees are collected at the landfill in Grass Valley, open Wednesday through Saturday, 8:30-3:30 p.m.
