Emergency Preparedness

ALWAYS DIAL 911 IN CASE OF EMERGENCY

Plan and Prepare for Disasters. Preparedness is defined by DHS/FEMA as "a continuous cycle of planning, organizing, training, equipping, exercising, evaluating, and taking corrective action in an effort to ensure effective coordination during incident response." If an emergency occurs in Lake Wildwood, Nevada County’s First Responders are the first and direct-line-of-communication to the Community. This direct-line-of-communication best practice allows the First Responders more time to respond while providing LWA Members the fastest and most accurate information available. The Penn Valley Emergency Plan is the official document compiled by the LWA Public Safety Committee, Security Dept., and public assistance agencies for Lake Wildwood emergency response.
