PURPOSE
The TV Advisory Committee is responsible for advising the Board of Directors on policies and implementing
the Board's policies in the operation of the Lake Wildwood Association television facilities.
STRUCTURE
- Five voting members, responsible for the selection of a chairperson, vice-chairperson, treasurer, and secretary.
- Other subcommittees may be appointed, as needed, to complete any assignments.
- TV Club representative, who shall have no vote.
- Board of Directors Liaison, who has no vote.
OPERATING METHODS
To accomplish its purpose, the TV Advisory Committee shall undertake responsibility for the following actions and such assignments as shall be made from time to time:
- The TV Advisory Committee shall carry out the Board of Directors adopted mission statement of
LWC-44, which is: the mission of Lake Wildwood Association's Channel 44 is to promote the dissemination of information and exchange of views and ideas within our Association's geographical boundary.
- The TV Advisory Committee shall foster the following goals, and apply them in the following priority basis when reviewing videos and/or other media for viewing on
LWC-44.
Priority One: the rapid dissemination of information of a critical nature in the event of either manmade or natural disasters,
Priority Two: the dissemination of information to members of the Association pertaining to actions contemplated or completed by the Board of Directors and/or General Manager and staff;
Priority Three: the dissemination of information related to upcoming community events,
Priority Four: the dissemination of information from LWA committees or clubs.
Should an impasse be reached regarding the viewing of a particular video(s), the Committee shall ask for a decision from the Board Liaison. That decision may be appealed to the Board of Directors for review during its next scheduled monthly meeting.
- Implicit within the Goals of paragraph two the Advisory Committee shall endeavor to:
- promote and direct use of LWC-44 in a manner consistent with federal, state, county codes and LWA policies, rules and procedures;
- coordinate lawful, nonprofit corporate activity, including maintenance of
staff, facilities, and equipment for LWC-44;
- within budget, monitor support for training in program production;
- assure the capability and availability of program production facilities;
- and, assure that all media selected for viewing on LWC-44 will display a
high standard of quality.
- Minutes and roll call of each monthly meeting will be taken and recorded. Written copies will be submitted to the Administration office and Board Liaison.
- Submit to the Board of Directors in writing any suggestions for changes in the above policies and/or statements deemed necessary by the Advisory Committee.
