The Social Committee is responsible for the organization and promotion of functions which utilize and support the common facilities of the Association, with the primary function being the enhancement of lifestyle for Association members. 

The Social Committee is comprised of nine voting members. There are associate members and friends of the committee who help out when needed. All the committee members are valued, hard working Wildwood residents. 

A calendar of events is prepared each year. The purpose of each event is to gather together the community in a social atmosphere. Annual events may include Monte Carlo Night, Home Tour, 4th of July Picnic in the park, Luau in the park, Team Trivia, Golf Cart Caroling and the Holiday Dinner Dance. The Committee subsidizes the cost of several events during the year to keep the cost affordable. 

The committee, over the years has contributed funds to purchase amenities, which have added to the ambiance of the community. Examples are: purchase of pianos for the clubhouse; awning over the lower entrance to the clubhouse; light fixtures and a sofa table for the clubhouse; fiber optic lighting for the bar; speakers for the Pavilion at Commodore Park and the newest purchase was the custom designed and crafted buffet for the Cedar Room. Other funds are used to provide prizes for the children’s games played during the 4th of July activities. During the Christmas holidays the Social Committee provides all the beautiful decorations in the Pine and Cedar rooms and throughout the Clubhouse. The Social Committee also sponsors the Holiday lighting display contest and provides the prize money for the winners.
