PURPOSE

The Recreation Committee is to:

1. Seven (7) members, responsible for selection of their Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer.  
2. Five (5) associate members, who have no vote.
3. Subcommittees may be appointed, as needed, to complete any assignments.
4. Recreation Director, who has no vote.
5. Board of Directors Liaison, who has no vote.

To accomplish its purpose, the Recreation Committee shall undertake responsibility for the following actions and such other assignments as shall be made, from time to time, by the Board of Directors:

1. Minutes and roll call of each meeting will be taken and recorded. Written copies will be submitted to the Administration Office monthly.
2. Review scheduled programs, methods of control for adherence to the rules and regulations for the use of all of the recreational facilities.
3. Plan and submit an annual calendar of activities to the Board of Directors for approval in the Association calendar. These activities may include the Tools, Trash &  Treasures garage sale, Craft Faire and Ice Cream Social.
4. Investigate, when requested, the condition of the facilities with particular emphasis on safety, signs of deterioration, and possible need for replacement.
5. Review plans for use, as set forth in the annual budget. Determine if they are reasonable and provide adequate use time for the various recreational groups, and that the expected fees are reasonable and adequate.
6. If, in its opinion, changes in facilities appear to be necessary, it will then have the responsibility to recommend action by the Board.
7. Suggest changes in rules, procedures, scheduling, etc., in writing, to the Board for consideration.
