Explanation of tones. Upon hearing any of
these tones, please turn to cable channel 3 and/or radio
station KNCO.

TONE - (this cycle is repeated a total of four times.)
Siren winds up to a high pitch and remains for ten (10) seconds after which it winds down to a
low growl, nearly stopping. The cycle is then repeated.
PURPOSE -
WARNING OF A POTENTIAL IMPENDING DANGER.
Upon hearing this tone, Please tune to cable Channel 3 andlor radio station KNCO to obtain
further information.

TONE - (One three (3) minute cycle.) Siren winds up to a high pitched tone and remains at that level for three (3) continuous minutes.
PURPOSE - REQUEST TO EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY.

TONE - Continuously run with variable pitch (Universal Signal).
PURPOSE - Standard air raid -TAKE COVER.

TONE - Wind up and run at high pitch for ten (10) seconds. One (1) cycle.
PURPOSE - ALL CLEAR AND TEST SIGNAL. (Siren
tested on the first Friday of January, April, July and
October at 12:00 Noon.
