The
thirteenth hole sports a men's handicap of 8 and a red/gold handicap of 9.
The yardages are 373 (blue), 356 (white), and 351 (red/gold). This hole
plays as a decent, normal par 4 if you keep one objective in mind -- you
don't want to go right off the tee. A hook is fine because you're likely
to get a
good roll off the side of the hill.
Should you slice (Mr. right-hander), you'll be in jail down at the bottom of
a gully with a whole bunch of trees. The trees are spaced just widely
enough apart that you're sure that you can thread your way out and get
close to the green for an up-and-down to save par. Yeah, right, and Davis
Love III took lessons from you as a kid too !
The
fella in the picture is in great position for his second shot -- uphill to this
green. Unfortunately, he's not hitting his second shot because it
took him four shots to get out of the trees to his right.
The green is large and welcoming. And you've left all your troubles behind you!
