"SIR" stands for SONS IN RETIREMENT, a luncheon club composed of men retired
from full-time gainful occupation. The club's slogan is "Promoting the Independence and Dignity of Retirement."
"Active" retirement is emphasized, by means of SIR sponsored travel, golf, and bowling activities.
Since the incorporation of SIR in 1959, over 175 Branches have been chartered. The Branch that meets each month in the clubhouse at Lake
Wildwood is known as Grass Valley Branch Number Eleven.
